I worked with Liz to get more fit before my wedding day. I felt with all the money I was spending on flowers, cake, food, photographers, I owed it to myself to spend some money to look and feel my best on my big day. With the stress of organizing a wedding and just starting a new job, I gained around 15lbs and went up 1 pant size (I probably should have gone up 2!). After working with Liz I lost all that weight and more and was back to a size six (and sometimes even a 4!).

The numbers speak for themselves, but what I can’t quantify is how I good I felt. When I started with Liz, I was winded after a few sets of squats and sit ups. And push-ups, forget it! By the end of my training with Liz, I was able to complete 3 sets of 15 push-ups with ease. I also started to do spinning (something I was afraid I couldn’t keep up with and would look stupid) and felt great. “Last night I went for a massage and my massage therapist had commented that she has never seen my muscles respond so well as they did during the massage in the last six years. She was so excited that the work outs are starting to make a difference in the responsiveness of the muscle. She said it was a lot easier to work on me, there were almost no spasms from my neck to my lower back.

She also noticed a difference in my physical shape of my mid section. I had explained I didn’t loose any weight yet, but I also wasn’t really focusing on weight loss – it was more about regaining strength in the right places. My massage therapist had said (for lack of a better translation) that my muscles still needed to be stronger in order to get those types of results. Based on what she knows about all my injuries after working on me for 6 years, she felt it would take probably another month for me to be able to do the cardio without having six mini heart attacks and start burning what I needed to make a bigger difference.
